If you've lost your pet due to fireworks or any other reason, we at Traci's Paws are so sorry to hear this. We hope that you will be reunited soon.

If you know your pet is nowhere in the house or outside around the house, consider doing the following:

Contact Your Local Animal Shelters and Animal Control to report your missing pet. Provide a detailed description and GOOD photos. These should be clear photos of all angles of your pet, and distinct markings should be shown as well.

Create a "lost Pet" flyer to be posted within a 1-mile radius, including clear photos, a description, and contact information.

Use this flyer to post on all of the lost-and-found online platforms.

We have posted a few below.

This information also works for found pets.

Many of the links below are local to San Diego, but you can also find them on your local shelters' websites.

You may also contact Babs Fry, known nationwide for locating lost pets.

However, she is always swamped, and it may take a while to reach her. As a fellow member of our rescue community, I will ask that if you use her services, you please consider making a donation to help her continue this great work of finding and saving lost pets.
