Musical Guests
We are so excited to present two amazing musical guests:
11:00 am - 12:00 pm Sax Diego
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm The San Diego Community Jazz Band
San Diego Community Jazz Band
The San Diego Community Jazz Band is part of the San Diego Community College District, specifically, the College of Continuing Education. Its members are musicians with a desire and passion for jazz music, in the form of a jazz band (18+ piece). Participation is open to anyone with previous experience and an instrument (or a strong desire to learn how to play jazz). The music performed blends genres and styles, providing diverse exposure to jazz literature. The SDCJB is one of the finest adult community jazz bands in San Diego County. The band performs multiple times throughout the year, including at December Nights and the San Diego County Fair.
Sax Diego
Sax Diego is an all-saxophone Community Choir. (Not to be confused with vocalists!) Our sax players have many years of experience and are a wide range of ages, from high school seniors to seniors in life who share a love of music. We play the greatest hits from all eras and genres, from swing to "swinging from the chandelier" with Sia, and look forward to performing for you at Unleash the Holiday Cheer. (You have seen us at a number of events, including December Nights in Balboa Park and Sax Christmas in San Jose, with the longest-running all-saxophone group with 400+ saxophones.
